Coleen Nolan has revealed her "insane" health struggle after getting an unexpected diagnosis.

The star shared on Tuesday's (February 25) Loose Women that she noticed a rash on her skin at the end of last year and, after a visit to a dermatologist, was told she had eczema.

"My skin has gone insane... I got a terrible rash all around my middle, it went up my shoulders. It was so sore and so itchy. I’m thinking, 'What is this?'" she shared. "Then obviously when Linda passed, I went to the dermatologist and he’s like, 'Yeah it’s eczema.'"

Coleen explained she was so surprised because she'd never experienced the skin condition before. "I was like, 'I’ve never had eczema in my life!'" she said, explaining her dermatologist told her stress can make the condition flare up.

There's no doubting Coleen had experienced a tough time recently. The TV star split up with her boyfriend of three years in December and lost her sister Linda Nolan to breast cancer in January.

Coleen also shared her skin cancer diagnosis in 2023.

Speaking on Loose Women at the time, Coleen recalled her conversation with her doctor. "[They said] it is actually a cancer that doesn't necessarily spread, but you do need to treat it and we'll try it with cream and then the chemo cream and then if that doesn't work, we'll cut it out and give you a skin graft," she said.

She later gave fans another update via Instagram, sharing: "Nothing major, you know, it is pre-cancerous and I need to treat it, but at the moment, it's fine."

The following year, Coleen updated fans again after noticing a new dry patch of skin.

"I had carcinoma on my shoulder which has now gone. And had chemo cream on my shoulder so that burned that off," she said (via The Sun), but explained she would soon be getting treatment on a different area.

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
