1. Lauren points the finger at Max

After learning that vintage cars from the lot have been found burned in a quarry, Max has a word with Lauren. In turn, Lauren brings up the scorched cars to Mark, who denies knowing anything.

Sam then provides a fake alibi for Mark, which encourages Lauren to grill Max about the criminal act. However, Max is offended by Lauren's accusation, and reveals that he was prepared to sign the partnership agreement so that they could go into business together.

In light of Max's comment, Lauren insists that she wants to earn ownership of the car lot, rather than being handed it.

2. Oscar shares a moment with Josh

During a chat about a childhood game with Jasmine and Josh, Oscar feels secretly unsettled by his attraction to both of them.

Meanwhile, Jasmine is hurt to hear that Josh played their game with Sandra, leading her to storm off in a huff.

Oscar does his best to try and comfort Josh, who feels guilty for upsetting his sister. Next, Oscar and Josh share a charged moment, before Oscar pulls away.

Elsewhere, Gina voices her concerns about Eddie to George, but the dad-of-three isn't willing to engage with the conversation.

3. Mark manipulates Lauren

As Lauren's money worries grow, Mark continues to tempt Lauren with the idea of dealing dodgy cars.

Afterwards, Peter informs Lauren that Jimmy's nursery has a place, but they won't be able to afford it. All out of options, Lauren asks Mark to call his contact about the stolen motors.

4. Josh makes Oscar jealous

To avoid any hurt feelings, Josh and Oscar vow to keep their distance from each other. From a distance, Penny witnesses the private exchange, which leads Oscar to confide in her.

Later, Josh laps up attention from an admirer at The Albert, leaving Oscar envious.

Meanwhile, Denise helps Sam cook for the Mitchell family. As the two women crack on, Denise shares that she has been feeling very tired lately.

Sam is worried for her friend, but can she convince Denise to seek medical attention?

5. Jack rumbles Mark

Eager to help Mark out of trouble, Grant tells his son that he has sold his bar in Portugal, meaning that he will have the cash to pay off the gang. However, Mark refuses to accept any help, claiming that he wants to sort things out on his own.

Subsequently, Lauren feels that she has too much at stake to be caught up in crime, so pushes Mark for information about the car scam. In response, Mark promises Lauren that he will take the fall if things go awry.

Later, Max feels suspicious about a new car on the lot, so asks Jack to investigate Mark. While doing some digging, Jack discovers Mark's past dealings, then instructs Max not to confront Lauren just yet.

6. Mark is kidnapped

After refusing Grant's assistance, Mark receives a warning from the gang that he owes money to.

Spooked, Mark asks Priya for help, leading him to gain access to the car lot safe. However, Mark is hit by a wave of guilt when he receives a message from Lauren, so he leaves the car lot without stealing any cash, unknowingly dropping the No.55 keys on his way out.

Mark considers accepting help from Grant, but in a flash, the Fowler man is pushed into a van and driven off.

7. Grant receives a demand

On the day of Nigel's funeral, Grant acts on his concern for Mark by leaving him a voicemail. Afterwards, Vicki voices her anxiety about Mark to Grant and Phil, who had convinced themselves that Mark was spending time with her.

As panic sets in for the Mitchells, Grant and Russell share a phone call in which the gang boss demands all the money that Mark owes him. And things go from bad to worse when Russell overhears nearby Sam.

8. Julie writes Nigel's eulogy

With Russell on their minds, Phil insists to his siblings that they deal with the gang boss after attending Nigel's funeral.

Elsewhere, Julie finds it tricky to write a eulogy for Nigel, so asks for help from those closest to her. Thankfully, Julie is soon reminded of a memory that helps her pen a sentimental tribute to her late husband.

9. Nigel's funeral takes place

Ignoring their agreement to find Mark after Nigel's funeral, Phil, Grant, Sam and Billy set off to track down their missing relative. Once the Mitchell men return from their mission, a frosty stand-off breaks out.

At the church, Walford residents listen to Nigel's nearest and dearest pay tribute to him.

When the ceremony finishes, Julie and Phil share an emotional moment, but they are interrupted by Sam, who demands that the Mitchell siblings come together.

10. Max pushes Priya for answers

Having hit her car sales target, Lauren is officially crowned winner in her competition with Max.

Max congratulates his daughter, but also questions the origin of the cars that she has sold. Later, Max discovers Mark's keys and tries to draw information out of Priya.

Elsewhere, Grant heads to The Vic, where he ends up in a heated argument with Harvey.
