America's most patriotic fast food restaurant gives another nod to President Trump

Wondering what America's most patriotic fast food chain is?

It will soon become very clear.

A popular burger and milkshake restaurant plans to put on a bold and colorful display in honor of the country.

Steak 'n Shake has announced that is going to revamp its restaurants with the 'biggest' and 'tallest' America flags that local laws permit.

The fast food chain announced the makeover in a social media post on Saturday.

'The flag installations have begun at Steak n Shake,' the chain posted on X.

'Every Steak n Shake is getting the tallest and biggest American flag that local governments will allow! Steak n Shake proudly supports American values and traditions.'

The post was accompanied by a photo of employees standing under a large American flag in front of a Steak 'n Shake.

Elon Musk quickly showed support for the restaurant's bold display of patriotism, despite not being an American himself.

'I'm ordering from there tomorrow!' the South African Tesla CEO replied to the post the following day.

This is not the first patriotic action the chain has taken in recent months. In July, Steak 'n Shake posted a photo of a hat that says 'Make Frying Oil Tallow Again.'

The red hat is similar to the 'Make America Great Again' baseball cap, a sign of support for President Donald Trump, while the reference to tallow aligns the company with Trump's top health official, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Steak 'n Shake posted a photo of the hat to advertise 'Tesla Tallow Twofer Tuesday,' an event that took place in July at all of its restaurants.

Each location rewarded its first Tesla-owning customers with free grass-fed beef tallow to use at home, along with what some Reddit users called an 'ugly hat.'

'This is just gross and forces your political ideology onto your workers, comedic or not. Steak n' Shake should stay focused on being Steak n' Shake, not some political vehicle,' a post creator wrote on Reddit.

The promotion came after Steak 'n Shake backed up RFK Jr.'s plan to switch from vegetable oil to beef tallow in its fries.

Steak 'n Shake was founded in Normal, Illinois, in 1934 by Gus Belt.

Belt originally ran a combination gas station and chicken restaurant, but he transformed it into a hamburger and milkshake stand.

To emphasize the quality of the meat, he coined the name 'Steakburger' and would famously grind steak cuts into hamburger meat in front of customers — coining the slogan, 'In Sight It Must Be Right.'

From that original location, Steak 'n Shake grew into a regional and then national chain, known for serving burgers and shakes in a sit-down diner format.

The restaurant chain has grown to operate over 400 restaurants since it was founded more than 85 years ago.
