Tigers RHP Fulmer loses in arbitration

Detroit Tigers right-hander Michael Fulmer lost his arbitration case and will make $2.8 million in 2019, according to multiple published reports.

The salary still represents a major raise from $575,200 for Fulmer, who went 3-12 with a 4.69 ERA in 24 starts last season.

Fulmer had requested $3.4 million.

Fulmer's case was the final arbitration case of the year. The players won six of 10 decisions.

Winners were Cleveland right-hander Trevor Bauer, Houston right-hander Gerrit Cole and shortstop Carlos Correa, Oakland right-handed closer Blake Treinen, Cincinnati left-hander Alex Wood and Tampa Bay outfielder Tommy Pham.

In addition to Fulmer, the losers were Washington outfielder Michael A. Taylor and right-hander Kyle Barraclough and Toronto right-hander Ryan Tepera.
