Lewan, Norman get heated after Titans' win

Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan and Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman got into it on the sideline after the Titans 25-16 win on Saturday.

As Lewan approached the Washington sideline after the game, Norman threw his helmet at him and began walking toward the 6-7, 309-pound Lewan.

Lewan responded by using a mocking version of a bow-and-arrow gesture that Norman sometimes uses.

Norman continued to go after Lewan, yelling at him as the bigger player turned his body away and eventually walked away as the 6-foot, 200-pound Norman was restrained.

Afterward, Lewan said he approached Norman because he felt the corner tried to injure Titans running back Derrick Henry late in the game.

"I'm not worried about Josh Norman, man. I'm an offensive lineman; he's a DB," said Lewan in the locker room. "I don't even know who that is."

"I was pissed -- he was trying to hurt Derrick Henry during that four-minute (drive). That's B.S. That's not the way football is supposed to be played, man. It's not our fault you're not relevant anymore."

He accused Norman of going low when hitting Henry and for losing his cool on the field.

"He tackled him, and it was like a temper tantrum," said Lewan. "I was trying to get Derrick up, and he's throwing a hissy-fit, going low at him and stuff like that."

Henry ran the ball 21 times for 84 yards and a score and seemed unbothered by Norman's antics.

"Whatever he was trying to do, he was trying to do," said Henry. "If he was, it didn't work."

Norman didn't speak to reporters after the game.
