Bulls G LaVine (ankle) out 2-4 weeks

The best season of Chicago guard Zach LaVine's career will be on hold for the next two to four weeks as he recovers from a sprained left ankle.

Bulls head coach Jim Boylen revealed the prognosis on Wednesday.

"We've gotten all the information we need to," Boylen told reporters. "We feel safe saying that's kind of where it's at."

In his second season with Chicago and fifth in the NBA, LaVine is averaging 23.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game -- all career highs -- through 28 games.

LaVine suffered the injury, a sprain of the deltoid ligament, during Saturday's 97-91 loss to the Orlando Magic in Mexico City.
