Braves acquire RHP Brach from Orioles

The Atlanta Braves acquired right-handed reliever Brad Brach from the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday in exchange for international signing bonus slot money, both teams announced.

The amount of slot money is $250,000, according to multiple reports.

Brach was 1-2 with a 4.85 ERA and 11 saves for the Orioles this season.

The 32-year-old is 30-21 with a 3.16 ERA in 397 career relief appearances for the San Diego Padres (2011-13) and Orioles (2014-18). He was an American League All-Star for Baltimore in 2016 when he posted a career-low 2.05 ERA.

Atlanta transferred right-hander Brandon McCarthy (knee) to the 60-day disabled list to open up a 40-man roster spot for Brach.
