PGNiG

The CEO of Poland's dominant gas firm PGNiG told the Parkiet daily he hoped that PGNiG would complete an acquisition of upstream assets abroad by the end of the year.

Wozniak also said PGNiG was building a gas supplies contract portfolio to be able to stop deliveries from Russia after 2022 when its long-term deal with Gazprom expires.

INVESTMENT

Poland plans to start construction work at the end of this year aimed at building a ship canal across the Vistula spit in the Baltic Sea, the Rzeczpospolita daily quoted the maritime minister as saying.
