Brewers call up RHP Peralta for MLB debut

The Milwaukee Brewers placed right-hander Chase Anderson on the 10-day disabled list with a stomach illness and recalled right-hander Freddy Peralta from Triple-A Colorado Springs to start on Sunday against the Colorado Rockies.

Peralta, 21, is 5-1 in seven starts for the Sky Sox this season and has struck out 46 in 34.2 innings.

Peralta's parents were in town to see him for the first time as a professional Saturday night in Colorado Springs, but he was scratched in order to keep him fresh for Sunday. They'll attend Sunday's game instead.

Anderson's stint on the DL is retroactive to Thursday. He was unable to make Saturday's start against the Rockies.

Anderson has gone 3-3 with a 3.97 ERA in eight starts this season.

The Brewers also recalled righty Jorge Lopez from Colorado Springs and optioned righty Alec Asher to the Sky Sox.

Asher was called up on Saturday and pitched two innings in a 4-0 loss.
