Report: DT Allen to join Buccaneers
One day after posting a goodbye message to Philadelphia Eagles fans, it seems Beau Allen is on his way to a new team.
The free-agent defensive tackle will sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to reports. Terms were not available.
Allen, a key backup for the Eagles, became expendable when the team reached a deal with Haloti Ngata on Tuesday.
"I put a lot of sweat and blood into the game of football during my time in Philadelphia and was rewarded with a Super Bowl Championship and memories that will last a lifetime. I can't say enough about the teammates and brothers I've shared this experience with, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!," his message on Instagram read, in part.
Allen was a seventh-round pick by the Eagles in the 2014 NFL Draft. He played in 63 games, eight of them starts, over his four seasons with Philadelphia.
