Italian great Valentino Rossi has not ruled out a return to MotoGP in Spain this weekend, three weeks after breaking his right leg, after getting back on a bike for some test laps on Monday. Yamaha said the 38-year-old, whose doctors had advised a 30-40 day recovery period, had ridden around the Misano circuit near his home in eastern Italy on a YZF-R1M road bike to "put his fitness level to the test".

British cyclist pedals around world in 78 days, smashing record
A British endurance cyclist has smashed the Guinness World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of the planet on a bicycle, riding 18,000 miles (29,000km) in under 80 days. Mark Beaumont cycled for 18 hours a day and burned more than 9,000 calories every 24 hours as he crossed Poland, Russia, Mongolia, China, Australia and the United States.
Cycling: Giro d'Italia to open 2018 race with three stages in Israel
Israel will host the three opening stages of next year's Giro d'Italia, the first time a cycling classic race will be held outside Europe, organizers said on Monday. The 101st edition of the Giro will open with a 10.1 kilometer individual time trial on May 4 in Jerusalem, followed by road races on the next two days, between Haifa and Tel Aviv (167-km) and Beersheba and Eilat (226-km).

The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable National Football League team for an 11th consecutive year, valued at nearly twice the league average, according to the annual list published by business magazine Forbes on Monday. The Cowboys, who have reached the playoffs only nine times since winning their last Super Bowl in 1995, are worth $4.8 billion, up 14 percent rise from last year, Forbes said.

Line judges face an uncertain future after the ATP announced that they will be replaced by "electronic line calls" at this year's inaugural Next Gen Finals in Milan.
