- Russia's Economy Ministry has issued guidelines for the country's development by 2020, which envisage the reduction of payments to pensioners by 0.7 percent next year and by a further 0.6 percent by 2019-2020, the daily reports.

- The government has no plans to compensate the loss in the purchasing power of state pensions for those pensioners who continue working after retirement, the daily writes, referring to about 10 million such people, according to official statistics.
