Poland - Factors to Watch March 2

Following are news stories, press reports and events to watch that may affect Poland's financial markets on Thursday. ALL TIMES GMT (Poland: GMT + 1 hour):

SWITCH TENDER

Poland's finance ministry to hold a switch tender at which it will offer bonds due April 2019, April 2022, November 2022, January 2026 and July 2027 in exchange for papers due April, July and October this year.

WARSAW STOCK EXCHANGE

Warsaw's Stock Exchange is expected to announces changes to its main indexes composition after markets close.

CYFROWY POLSAT

Poland's Cyfrowy Polsat said on Wednesday it sees fourth-quarter consolidated net profit 100 million zlotys ($24.60 million) higher due to a one-off tax gain.

LOTOS

Polish refiner Grupa Lotos said on Wednesday that costs associated with refinery outages would reduce 2017 consolidated operating profit by about 200 million zlotys ($49 million).

MBANK

Polish lender mBank, a unit of Germany's Commerzbank CBKG.DE, said on Wednesday it did not plan to pay a dividend from last year's net profit.

FURNITURE

Polish state-run investment fund PFR will provide support for local furniture producers to help them conduct acquisitions in Poland and abroad, Rzeczpospolita daily said quoting PFR representative.

CIECH

State-run investment fund TFI PZU increased its share in chemical group Ciech to 12 percent raising questions whether the move was designed to help the state regain control over the company, Rzeczpospolita daily said.

Last year officials from Poland's anti-corruption agency CBA entered the Warsaw offices of Ciech and Kulczyk Holding in an investigation into the previous government's privatisation of the chemical group.

PKP ENERGETYKA

PKP Energetyka, which specializes in power engineering services, looks to tap the German market with new orders, Rzeczpospolita daily quoted the company's CEO as saying.

URSUS

Truck tractor maker Ursus plans to start production of electric delivery vans, comparable in size to fiat Scudo, Puls Biznesu daily said quoting Ursus Chief Executive Officer.

ELECTION

Ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party may change election law in order to increase it's chances in municipal election, planned for late 2018, Gazeta Wyborcza daily said.
