-- If parliamentary elections were held today, 21.4 percent of Bulgarians would vote for the Socialist Party (BSP) versus 20.8 percent for the centre-right ruling party GERB, a poll by Market Links showed (Capital daily, Duma)

-- Elena Poptodorova, formerly Bulgaria´s long-time ambassador to the United States, had been detained at Warsaw Airport in connection with the alleged theft of cosmetics valued at 381 euro, the foreign ministry said. Poptodorova, who reportedly had been travelling on a diplomatic passport in spite of not being an employee of the foreign ministry, had not wanted the Bulgarian embassy involved in the casem (Trud, Standart, 24 Chasa, Duma)

-- An investigator has filed a 26,000 levs ($14,001) claim against Deputy Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov over alleged "pressure" on him. Strahil Kamenichki, who works at the National Investigation Service, allegedly spoke to Sarafov at a work meeting (Capital Daily, Duma) ($1 = 1.8570 leva)
