Spanish public debt rises in September

MADRID, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Spain's public debt rose 2.8 billion euros ($3 billion) in September from a month earlier to 1.105 trillion euros, Bank of Spain data showed on Thursday.

Using National Statistic Institute data for economic output from the second quarter of last year through to the end of June this year, the debt as a ratio of gross domestic product stood at 100.8 percent in September.

The government's debt-to-GDP targets are 99.8 percent for 2016, according to a draft 2017 budget. ($1 = 0.9323 euros) (Reporting by Julien Toyer; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
