-- Bulgaria's Specialised Criminal Court could not launch the trial against the two suspects charged with terrorism for the attack at Bulgarian airport of Burgas which killed 5 Israeli tourists in 2012 as it failed to invite the Israeli tourists who were injured at the attack to attend. The court will launch the trial on Nov. 10. (Trud, Telegraph, Standart, Sega, Capital Daily)

-- Traffickers, who transport migrants fleeing conflicts in the Middle East from Bulgaria to Western Europe earn over 100,000 euros per day, said Biser Banchev from Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, pointing that the amount is calculated at 1000 euros average cost for trafficking a migrant through one country. STANDART - The ruling centre-right GERB party is likely to nominate a current or a former mayor to run for president at Nov. 6 election, sources familiar with the process said. GERB is considering the mayors of Sofia and Burgas, Yordanka Fandakova and Dimitar Nikolov. respectively, as well as deputy prime minister and former mayor of Gabrovo, Tomislav Domchev. The party will announce its nomination on Oct. 2.

CAPITAL DAILY - Over 2.5 billion euros ($2.81 billion)have been invested in Bulgaria's metallurgical industry since 2000, improving its competitiveness, the head of Bulgarian association of the Metallurgical Industry said. ($1 = 0.8894 euros)
