April 4 (The Sports Xchange) - Colin Kaepernick will remain with the San Francisco 49ers and a potential trade to Denver is on hold -- for now.

According to multiple reports, Kaepernick rejected taking a pay cut that would have made the trade possible, and the 49ers nixed the idea of paying off part of his salary.

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will not face charges for his alleged role in a nightclub fight with two off-duty Philadelphia police officers.

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced there was "insufficient evidence" to charge McCoy, his friends or the off-duty officers involved in the Feb. 7 incident.

The Buffalo Bills signed linebacker Zach Brown, wide receiver Leonard Hankerson and cornerback Corey White. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

One of the game's more dominant pass rushers, outside linebacker Aldon Smith has agreed to a new deal with the Oakland Raiders, even though he is currently serving a yearlong suspension.

Smith spent the 2015 season with Oakland after being released by San Francisco and compiled 28 tackles and 3.5 sacks in nine games.

The Philadelphia Eagles took steps to bolster their offensive line by signing unrestricted free-agent center-guard Stefen Wisniewski to a one-year contract and re-signing restricted free-agent guard Matt Tobin.

Wisniewski, 27, can play center or guard and is likely to man a starting guard spot opposite Brandon Brooks, who signed a five-year, $40 million contract with the Eagles last month.

The New England Patriots signed tight end Clay Harbor as an unrestricted free agent from the Jacksonville Jaguars and defensive tackle Terrance Knighton as an unrestricted free agent from the Washington Redskins.

The Detroit Lions signed defensive end Wallace Gilberry and tight end Matthew Mulligan.

Gilberry, 31, is an eight-year NFL veteran who spent the past four years with the Cincinnati Bengals. Mulligan, 31, has played seven NFL seasons and spent much of the 2015 season with the Buffalo Bills.

The Cleveland Browns signed offensive lineman Austin Pasztor and linebacker Scott Solomon, both restricted free agents.

The Browns also signed three exclusive rights players -- kicker Travis Coons, wide receiver Darius Jennings and offensive lineman Kaleb Johnson.

The Carolina Panthers re-signed defensive tackle Kyle Love to a one-year contract.

In 2015, Love played in 15 regular-season games with two starts for Carolina, recording 19 tackles, three sacks, four quarterback pressures and one fumble recovery.

Kansas City bolstered its defensive backfield over the weekend by signing safety Stevie Brown.

Brown brings plenty of experience to the Chiefs. The 29-year-old has accumulated 20 career starts among the 55 games he has played during a career that has seen stops with the Raiders, Colts and Giants. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
