Poland - Factors to Watch March 30

STATE BUDGET

Poland's state budget will need 30 billion zlotys ($8 billion) in additional revenue in 2017 to allow for financing of the conservative government's spending plans, daily Rzeczpospolita reported.

CHILD BENEFITS

Poland will not tap into its retirement system's reserve, currently amounting to just under 20 billion zlotys, to finance the conservative government's flagship programme of child benefits next year, daily Gazeta Wyborcza quoted labour minister Elzbieta Rafalska.

PKP CARGO

Poland's rail freight carrier PKP CARGO wants to relaunch talks with the country's copper miner KGHM to buy 49 percent of KGHM's cargo unit Pol-Miedz Trans, PKP Cargo's CEO Maciej Libiszewski told daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
