- Russia is launching a trade war with Turkey, the daily says, saying there may be an official announcement on Thursday about restrictions on food imports from Turkey. Turkey has so far this year imported food into Russia worth one billion dollars, the daily says.
- Salaries in the Duma, the lower chamber of parliament, have grown by 30 percent and in the Audit Chamber by 40 percent even as the number of employees in both state structures was cut by 10 percent this year, according to Rosstat.
