-- Bulgaria's parliament adopted at second reading the amendments to the law on direct participation of citizens in the government. According to the amendments, the collection of 400,000 signatures will be enough to initiate a compulsory referendum (Trud, Presa).

-- Ruling centre-right GERB party, right-wing Reformist Bloc and liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms failed to reach agreement on draft constitutional amendments (Presa, Trud, Sega, Monitor, Standart).

-- Bulgarian soccer, already plagued by match-fixing and crowd violence, suffered more misery when champions Ludogorets were knocked out of the Champions League's second preliminary round (Meridian Match, Trud, 24 Chasa, Standart, Presa, Telegraf).
