- China should develop institutional investors in order to build a healthy stock market in the long-run, the newspaper said in its commentary.

SHANGHAI SECURITIES NEWS

- China's import and export volumes with countries along the "One Belt, One Road" initiative reached nearly 3 trillion yuan ($483.24 billion) in the first half of 2015, equivalent to a quarter of China's total trade volume, the spokesman for the General Administration of Customs said.

- New fund management accounts opened by investors have hit a record high, increasing by 2,242 in June, data from China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Ltd showed.

Technology firm ZTE Corp is facing "unprecedented" smartphone sales pressure in China and plans to double its spending on marketing over the next three years, the firm's head of mobile devices division, Zeng Xuezhong, said.
