- Property markets in China's first- and second-tier cities might boom after the central bank cut interest rates and the reserve requirement ratio, an industry insider told the newspaper.

SHANGHAI SECURITIES NEWS

- Shanghai is asking for approval from China's regulator to allow eligible commercial banks to set up wholly owned private equity investment firms in Shanghai, said Jin Xingming, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai government.
