-- Kaloyan Topalov was elected Chair of the Sofia City Court. He replaces Vladimira Yaneva, who was temporarily dismissed at the request of the Chief Prosecutor over unlawfully issued permits for the use of special surveillance equipment in February (24 Chasa, Capital daily, Trud, Standart, Presa).

-- The government will hold a closed-door session in the next few days over the prospective acquisition of multirole fighters. The ministers will specify whether Bulgaria will purchase second-hand jets (second-hand F-16s or used Eurofighters) or newly built aircraft (Swedish-built Gripens)

24 CHASA - The 100 biggest companies in Bulgaria accounted for 80 percent of the Balkan country's economic output in 2014, according to calculations made by experts, based on the National Revenue Agency. Some 65 billion levs ($37.28 billion) were generated by the Top 100 companies last year in the Black Sea state whose gross domestic product is around 82 billion levs

CAPITAL DAILY - Austrian bank group Hypo Noe Gruppe has opened its first office in Bulgaria, the company said. The Sofia-based office will service customers from all over the country ($1 = 1.7434 leva)
