Poland - Factors to Watch June 8

Following are news stories, press reports and events to watch that may affect Poland's financial markets on Monday. ALL TIMES GMT (Poland: GMT + 2 hours):

BOGDANKA

Some shareholders in Polish miner Bogdanka are planning to ask the company to pay out a higher dividend than the 3 zlotys per share proposed by the management, sources familiar with the situation said.

SHALE GAS

ConocoPhillips, the U.S. energy company, said on Friday it has stopped its shale gas exploration in Poland due to unsatisfactory results, leaving the rest of the field to Polish state-run firms.

PKP CARGO

Poland's PKP Cargo, the European Union's second-biggest rail cargo operator, is looking to buy Unipetrol Dobrava, the freight unit of Czech oil refiner Unipetrol, daily Parkiet reported on Saturday.

ELECTIONS

A still-unnamed party led by a former rock musician Pawel Kukiz leads in an opinion poll by IBRiS pollster ahead of autumn general elections, the Rzeczpospolita daily reported on Monday. Kukiz party has 24.2-percent support, while its potential coalition partner Law and Justice has 24 percent.

MINIMAL WAGE

The Polish government will propose at Tuesday's sitting increasing the minimal wage to 1,850 zlotys ($494.5) as of 2016 from 1,750 zlotys this year, the Rzeczpospolita reported.

PLAY

Poland's No. 4 mobile operator P4, that operates under the Play brand, may start cooperation with one of the cash loan firms, as its shareholder, Scandinavian Tollerton fund, is planning to buy one of them, the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reported on Monday.

LPP

Poland's No.1 clothing retailer LPP deputy head told Gazeta Wyborcza daily that the company is considering opening its shops in Austria and France, after it debuted in Germany last year.
