-- Bulgaria has picked four banks - Citi, HSBC and local units of Societe Generale and Unicredit, to distribute Bulgarian bonds on international markets in the next three years at the total value of 8 billion euros ($9.06 billion) (Trud, Standart).
-- The Sofia Appellate Court has upheld the four-year prison term of former Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov over the blocked wiretapping motions. The ruling is not final and can be appealed or protested within 15 days before the Supreme Court of Cassation (Trud, Standart, Sega, Presa, Capital daily).
-- The findings of an investigation ordered after allegations that anti-government protesters were the subject of illegal surveillance in 2013 and 2014 were "far more disturbing" than claims already made in the public domain, Prime Minister Boiko Borissov said after meeting Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov and Interior Minister Vesselin Vuchkov in connection with reports received on operation, called "Worms" (Trud, Sega, Standart, Presa).
