SHANGHAI, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Chinese newspapers available in Beijing and Shanghai carried the following stories on Tuesday. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.

CHINA SECURITIES JOURNAL

- Chinese regulators may speed up the approval process for the backlog of initial public offerings (IPOs) to clear the way for a new registration-based IPO system, the newspaper said, citing industry sources.

- State-owned enterprises (SOEs) reform will be the main focus this year, three provinces including Jilin, Shandong and Hainan said during their annual "two sessions".

SHANGHAI SECURITIES NEWS

- Capital and financial account deficits as well as capital outflows from China hit new highs in Q4 2014 but for the whole year, foreign exchange reserves still increased, said Guan Tao, the head of the Department of International Payments at the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).

CHINA DAILY

- SOEs should be performing "much better than they are" considering they are state-backed and have exclusive access to many resources, said the newspaper in an editorial.
