- The current situation on the oil market does not require any urgent action from Russia, the daily cites the head of Russian oil major Rosneft, Igor Sechin, as saying after OPEC decided against an oil output cut.

- Russia could make a list of all unwanted international organisations and individuals, according to a draft bill to be discussed in parliament.

- Russia's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the refusal to grant Russian citizenship to former Soviet dissident, Vladimir Bukovsky, was a legal action. Bukovsky, who lives in London, ran for Russian president in 2008.

- Russian oil companies and analysts are talking about safety margin for the local oil sector, while the government is preparing to cut budget spending.

- Lawmakers in Bashkortostan dismissed on Thursday a challenge by Russian prosecutors on the decision of the local authorities privatise local energy companies in the 1990s, including Bashneft.
