- A Moscow court extended on Friday the house arrest of Sistema principal owner Vladimir Yevtushenkov until March 16, despite the fact that Sistema had decided not to challenge the return of the disputed company Bashneft to the state.

- Russia's state officials want to increase to 80 percent the limit of investment of the National Wealth Fund money in Russian assets. This could provide the government with additional 700 billion roubles to support banks and the economy, the daily says.

- Sanctions against some businessmen close to President Vladimir Putin have little affect on their children and sometimes even promote their business.

- Russia might start deploying its own high-latitude orbital station by 2017, which is a key goal of a long-term plan of space development 2050 drafted by the researchers of the Federal Space Agency.

- Russian lawmakers approved in second reading on Friday a bill introducing personal bankruptcy in Russia, two years after the first reading of the bill. The debt threshold required for launching bankruptcy proceedings has been raised to 500,000 roubles from 50,000 roubles, the daily says.

- President Vladimir Putin has publicly supported Rosneft's chief Igor Sechin in his bid for money from the National Wealth Fund. The government is currently considering granting of up to 300 billion roubles to the state oil major, against Sechin's claim for 2 trillion roubles, the daily says.
