BUCHAREST, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and events to watch which may affect Romanian financial markets on Tuesday.
INFLATION DATA
Romania's national statistics board will release consumer price inflation data for October at 0800 GMT.
FOREIGN MINISTER RESIGNS
Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean resigned on Monday after thousands of people rallied at the weekend in support of compatriots abroad who were turned away as they tried to vote in the first round of a presidential election.
DEBT TENDER
Romania sold a planned 1.0 billion lei (281.98 million US dollar) worth of one-year treasury bills on Monday, with the average accepted yield at 1.63 percent against 1.90 percent at a similar tender in October.
CHEVRON PLANS
U.S. energy major Chevron has yet to complete an assessment of Romania's natural gas potential from shale, it said, one day after the country's prime minister expressed doubt about the existence of shale gas reserves there.
TRADE/INDUSTRY/ENERGY DATA * Romania's trade deficit widened 2.6 percent on the year to 4.28 billion euros (5.34 billion US dollar) in the first nine months, the National Statistics Board said on Monday. * Romania's adjusted industrial output rose 2.4 percent on the month in September and was up 4.9 percent on the year, data from the National Statistics Board showed on Monday. * Romania's energy production edged up 0.6 percent on the year in January-September, and imports rose 8.8 percent.
CEE MARKETS
Hungarian assets got a big lift on Monday after the government said it would use market exchange rates when converting retail foreign currency loans next year, helping ease a major concern hanging over its banking sector.
