Poland's central bank is to publish forex reserves data for August at 1200 GMT.

MBANK

French insurer AXA has offered 500-600 million zlotys ($154.2-185.0 million) for the insurance arm at mBank, Polish Commerzbank unit and the country's No.4 lender, daily Puls Biznesu quoted its sources as saying.

MEP

Private fund Mid Europa Partners (MEP) plans to invest around 2.5 billion zlotys ($771 million) in Poland in the coming years, its senior partner Zbigniew Rekusz told daily Puls Biznesu. Among others, it plans to double its fresh-food chain Freshmarket to 1000 outlets by the end of 2016.

CIECH

The Polish chemicals maker plans takeovers and new factories in Africa, Southeast Asia and North America, daily Parkiet quoted Ciech's Chief Executive Dariusz Krawczyk as saying.

PIR

The Poland's state-run infrastructure investment fund wants to close 2-3 more transactions and invest in projects worth 10 billion zlotys ($3.1 billion) before the end of the year, daily Rzeczpospolita quoted PIR chief Mariusz Grendowicz as saying.
