Kendra: The jungle is out there

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! contender Kendra Wilkinson has opened up about the strains of having her personal life played out in front of the cameras, declaring: "Out there is the jungle. This isn't the jungle."

The ex-Playboy model, who had already made her name as a reality TV star before taking up residence in the Celeb rainforest down under, was quizzed about her on-air dramas with husband Hank Baskett.

"We started the season me finding out through the media that my husband potentially allegedly cheated on me. So I snap. I just snap. I grabbed my wedding rings and my husband's like ... 'What are you doing, what are you doing,' and I went over to the toilet and I put them in the toilet," she told fellow contestants.

"And he said 'No don't do it, don't do it'. And I flushed all my rings down the toilet ... I just snapped, you know.

"I'm going to deal with this s***, lawyers on the phone, agents, press, public. Having drones outside my house, helicopters."

Wilkinson even compared the intense scrutiny to being in a "warzone".

But campmates Jimmy Bullard and Carl "Foggy" Fogarty weren't impressed.

"It's the longest story ever," Fogarty muttered to his mate as Wilkinson poured her heart out, before whispering: "Just get to the f***ing punchline!"

Wilkinson - who has resolved to push forward with her marriage despite Baskett's "alleged" infidelities - said she was dreading April, when the finale in her own reality show is set to screen.

"Maybe it's good you've had a bit of time to figure out what you want out rather than have it out in the general public straight away," friend Nadia Forde offered.

Wilkinson agreed: "This is why it's good to be here right now. Just get away from all that ... Out there is the jungle. This isn't the jungle."
