POLICE NAME TRIO KILLED IN CRASH
Police have named three people who died in a crash on the A1.
Leroy Carrington, 68, and Sheila Carrington, 58, from Killingworth in Tyne and Wear, were both pronounced dead at the scene near Ranby, Notts.
Nottinghamshire Police named the third victim as Roderick Franks, 58, from St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Mr Franks, who died after being taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, was a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra, while the other fatalities were travelling in a Peugeot 206.
A stretch of the A1 between Blyth and Five Lane Ends, near Worksop, was closed in both directions following the accident at 11.20pm on Sunday.
