ANDERSON, THE 'BURNLEY LARA'

James Anderson is known by some as the 'Burnley Lara' as a result of his handiness with a bat.

The England quick went 54 innings before he got a Test duck and on Saturday looked more like the actual Brian Lara as he and Joe Root put India to the sword at Trent Bridge.

The pair's last-wicket stand of 198 is a new world record while Lancastrian Anderson's eventual 81 is the highest by an England number 11.

He was unable to fully emulate Brian Lara's best in his only Nottingham Test but he had a good go - especially considering the vast chasm in their batting abilities.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at the 'two' Laras.
