SAPWELL BOWS OUT
Britain's last hope of junior singles success at Wimbledon was extinguished as Josh Sapwell lost in the quarter-finals of the boys' event.
Sapwell's run through the draw came to an end when the 18-year-old lost 7-6 (7/5) 6-1 to French youngster Johan Sebastien Tatlot on Court 18.
The British teenager, from Flitwick, Bedfordshire, is ranked a lowly 157th in the junior world rankings but kept pace with Tatlot during the first set, during which neither player faced a break point on serve.
Sapwell faltered in the tie-break though before 18-year-old Tatlot, ranked ninth in the juniors, sprinted through the second set with a pair of breaks in 23 minutes.
