EX-SOLDIERS SEEK MOTORBIKE DONATION

Two former soldiers are looking for sponsors to provide motorbikes for a fundraising ride through 26 European capital cities.

Birkenhead businessmen Harry Glover and Pete Bray plan to travel 15,000 miles across the continent.

They will set off from Buckingham Palace on August 1, with their 28-day route set to take them as far north as Helsinki, as far east as Bucharest and as far south as Athens.

Funds they raise will be divided between the British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (Blesma), Soldiers Off The Streets and the Alder Hey Children's Charity.

Harry said: "These charities makes a huge difference to the lives of servicemen and women who gave so much. Alder Hey is also very close to our hearts and having personal experience of the work they do, I have nothing but admiration for the medical team."

Harry, who served with the Royal Artillery and Pete, who served in the SAS, are directors of security services and training firm Primarius Ltd.

They have nicknamed their mission Triumph over Tragedy and are also looking for sponsors to provide supplies including food, fuel and equipment.

Events are planned in every city with the help of veterans organisations, and many bikers will join the riders along the way.

Harry said: "We are looking for sponsors to help in any way they can, from providing bikes to providing food, to help change countless lives."
