SCORPIONS TO PLAY AT ARMS PARK
South Wales Scorpions are to take a Kingstone Press Championship 1 match to Cardiff Arms Park.
The Scorpions' fixture against London Skolars on Sunday, July 27 will be part of a six-hour rugby league show sponsored by Cardiff International Pool, which is operated by Parkwood Leisure.
The main game will be preceded by an under-19 fixture between the Scorpions and Skolars and a Welsh Conference South match between Penallta-based Valley Cougars and Gwendraeth Valley Raiders from Kidwelly.
Scorpions head coach Mike Grady said: "This is fantastic news that South Wales Scorpions will be playing a match in Cardiff. The lads can't wait to play on the 4G surface and I hope that it will be a fantastic day out."
Rugby league was first played at Cardiff Arms Park in 1996 when a crowd of 6,078 watched St Helens beat Sheffield Eagles in a Super League "on-the-road" game.
