Urawa beats Sagan 2-0 to keep pace in J-League
TOKYO (AP) — Tomoya Ugajin and Yuki Muto scored first-half goals to help Urawa Reds beat Sagan Tosu 2-0 on Saturday and stay on course for the J-League second-stage title.
Ugajin scored from 25 yards and Muto added the second late in the first half.
Kawasaki Frontale beat Avispa Fukuoka 3-1 and is even with Urawa on 25 points.
Also, Gamba Osaka rallied to defeat Ventforet Kofu 2-1 and is two points behind Kawasaki and Urawa, while Vissel Kobe secured a 4-3 victory over Jubilo Iwata for its fourth straight win
Kashiwa Reysol beat Kashima Antlers 2-0 while Yokohama F Marinos edged Vegalta Sendai 1-0.
Omiya Ardija won 1-0 at Sanfrecce Hiroshima, and FC Tokyo cruised to 3-0 over Shonan Bellmare 3-0, losers of nine straight matches.
Nagoya Grampus beat Albirex Niigata 1-0 for its first win in 19 games.
