Teen stabbed to death in western Sydney

A teenage boy has died after being stabbed in a street brawl in a western Sydney suburb where a nighttime curfew is in place under COVID-19 restrictions.

NSW Police found four people with stab wounds after being called to the intersection of Suffolk Street and William Street in Blacktown around 10pm on Wednesday.

One teen was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

A second boy was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Two others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Blacktown is one of 12 COVID-19 hotspot local government areas where the virus is surging and the state's toughest restrictions apply.

This includes a 9pm-5am curfew, except for authorised workers and emergencies.

Police are investigating.
