The hikers told police they saw the man, believed to aged in his 70s, in the Kondalilla Falls National Park near Flaxton about 5.30pm on Wednesday.

Officers and the dog squad searched for the man, who they believe is disoriented and possibly lost, between a waterfall and the entrance gate but failed to find him.
