Morrison tight-lipped on staffer pursuits
Scott Morrison will not say what action he has taken to track down coalition staffers accused of unacceptable behaviour in Parliament House.
One coalition staff member has been sacked after being exposed masturbating onto the desk of a female politician.
Sky News host Peta Credlin, a former chief of staff to Tony Abbott, claims she knows three other staffers involved in sharing lewd photographs and videos.
The prime minister will not say whether he has contacted Ms Credlin but says his government is taking the claims very seriously.
"Where matters such as this can be pursued, we will," he told parliament on Thursday.
"But I don't think it is helpful to provide a running commentary on such sensitive matters and how any inquiries may be pursued."
Mr Morrison has previously claimed the sordid behaviour has not occurred during his time as prime minister.
But Channel 10 has reported the acts took place over a two-year period that only ended last year.
Mr Morrison insists he provided an honest answer.
"I am not aware of that behaviour having taken place but if other information comes forward then I happy to address that," he said.
"These acts that have been referred to in the media, I just find completely incomprehensible. This is conduct that is completely mysterious to me, it is not something that I can even conceive of, to be honest."
