Two men die in separate SE Qld crashes

Queensland's Sunshine Coast has been the scene of two separate fatal road crashes within minutes of each other.

A 29-year-old Little Mountain man died in a fiery single-vehicle crash in Little Mountain about 6.15pm on Saturday.

Investigators believe his ute left the roadway on Sugarbag Road and crashed into an embankment.

The vehicle caught fire and the man was declared dead at the scene.

About the same time at nearby Nambour, a motorbike rider lost control and crashed on Carter Road.

The rider, a 38-year-old Mapleton man, also died at the scene.
