Man accused of being Sydney upskirter
A man has been charged with multiple 'up-skirting' offences following an investigation into an incident on a Sydney train.
Police say the man was seen last Christmas eve using his phone to make a video recording up a woman's skirt at Sydney's Central Railway Station.
Officers from the Police Transport Command began an investigation and a 46-year-old man was arrested at a home on Park Avenue, Ashfield, June 1 and charged at Burwood Police Station.
Later that day, a search warrant was executed at the Park Avenue address, with police seizing a number of electronic storage devices and clothing that will undergo forensic examination.
The man was charged with 11 counts of record intimate image without consent and granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday.
Police will allege in court that the man had committed at least 10 additional offences on trains and in other public places within Sydney's innerwest between January and May.
