NSW driver charged after motorcyclist dies

A man has been arrested after a fatal crash involving a car and a motorcycle in southwestern Sydney.

A 24-year-old man, a motorcycle rider, died following a crash with a Toyota Camry on Soldiers Parade outside Edmondson Park Railway Station about 12pm on Saturday.

The 37-year-old driver of the car, who was charged with negligent driving occasioning death and not giving way at lights to an oncoming vehicle, was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court in July.
