Pair nabbed in Adelaide backyard, charged
Two men who were allegedly spotted wandering through an Adelaide backyard by a neighbour have been arrested and charged.
Police attended a Para Vista home just after 2am on Wednesday when a resident reported seeing two men with torches wandering through a neighbour's yard. The neighbours were away on holidays.
The duo, aged 52 and 57, were charged for unlawfully being on the property and the older man was also charged with carrying an offensive weapon after he was allegedly found with a boxcutter knife.
Both men were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court early in the new year.
"These arrests are a great example of neighbourhood watch and telling a trusted neighbour that you are going away on holidays," SA Police said in a statement.
Police also suggested cancelling regular deliveries and arranging for someone to collect mail.
