QLD govt won't appeal flood ruling
The Queensland government will not appeal a landmark class action ruling over the state's devastating 2011 floods.
Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath on Thursday announced the government wouldn't appeal the NSW Supreme Court's November decision in favour of 6800 claimants who sued the government, Seqwater and Sunwater over the scale of the disaster.
"This decision is separate to any action that may be taken by other parties to the NSW Supreme Court decision," she said in a statement.
"The government will not be making any further comment, as there are still other matters that need to be determined by the courts."
