Six hospitalised after Melbourne brawl
A man is fighting for life and five others have been taken to hospital following a brawl at a reception centre in Melbourne's north.
Police were called to the La Mirage reception and convention centre on the Hume Highway at Somerton about 1.50am on Saturday, where they found eight men with various injuries.
Paramedics assessed seven men at the scene and took six to hospital.
A 29-year-old man remains in The Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition, while five other men aged in their 20s and 50s are in a stable condition.
Police are looking into reports that a number of people were kicked out of the venue before they returned and the fight broke out.
