Man, 80, stabbed in chest in Sydney
A man has been arrested after an 80-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in Sydney's southwest.
The victim and the detained 24-year-old are known to each other, NSW Police said.
Emergency services were called to a home on Stockton Avenue, Moorebank, just after 7am on Sunday.
The elderly man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the chest with a piece of wood in an incident at a unit in Lascelles Avenue, Greenacre on Saturday night.
A 28-year-old man was charged with reckless wounding and was due to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday. The victim is in a stable condition at St George Hospital.
Both men involved in that incident are also known to each other, police said.
