Fatal crash driver released from custody
A 19-year-old driver was allegedly alcohol affected when he ran a red light and crashed, killing a 21-year-old man in Melbourne's north.
Jayson Ziro, of Roxburgh Park, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with culpable driving causing death.
Ziro was driving a Volkswagen Golf when it allegedly hit a Mitsubishi Lancer at a Greenvale intersection on November 25 last year.
Campbellfield man Jack Baho, 21, who was a passenger in the Lancer, died at the scene. Three others were also injured.
Ziro was bailed on seven charges, which include dangerous driving causing death, drink driving and entering an intersection against a red light.
His bail conditions include that he report weekly to police and not drive.
A second man, the driver of the Lancer, has also been charged with culpable driving causing death over the crash and is expected to face court later on Tuesday.
