Website blocks for extreme terror content
Internet service providers are being directed to block access to eight websites that continue to provide access to video of the Christchurch terror attacks or manifesto of the accused gunman.
Australia's eSafety commissioner Julie Inman Grant is exercising her power to block the content for the first time, after the rogue websites refused her requests to remove the material.
"We cannot allow this heinous material to be used to promote, incite or instruct in further terrorist acts," Ms Inman Grant said on Monday.
