NBA star Simmons deserves better: Lemanis
Boomers coach Andrej Lemanis says he's been bothered and frustrated by the negative attention that NBA superstar Ben Simmons has copped during his trip home to Australia.
Simmons was criticised for pulling out of the Boomers' squad for the World Cup and warm-up games, and he had been slammed in some media reports over perceived missteps away from the court.
Lemanis says the same thing happened to fellow Boomers star Andrew Bogut earlier in his career, and he feels the criticism is unfair.
